Steven Scaffidi is an award-winning filmmaker who has written, produced, and directed many documentary and feature films for television and the big screen. With over 25 years of experience, Steven’s body of work includes: AIN’T DAT SUPER! - A hilarious story about two guys who walk into a bar the day of the Super Bowl and claim they got the Saints to the big game; THE PEOPLE’S STORY: The Devastation of Central America - Winner at the New York, Houston, and Telluride Independent Film Festivals and a finalist in the 2000 Academy Awards; FORGOTTEN ON THE BAYOU: Rockey’s Mission to the White House – Winner of the prestigious Humanitarian Vision Award at the Newport Beach Film Festival, and winner for Best Documentary Film at the Moondance International Film Festival in Hollywood, the First Glance Philadelphia Film Festival, and the Ozone Film Festival; and the groundbreaking feature film EXECUTION – A gripping story based on his original screenplay which follows the final seven days of a condemned man’s life on death row. The film drew close to 1,000 people for the premiere screening in New Orleans, LA.

Steven has unique flair for story-telling, and has extensive experience working with actors and real people.  His films have screened at many top international film festivals and he has been invited to screen his work at some of the most acclaimed universities in the world including UCLA and Tulane University in the USA and The University of Cambridge, Sussix University, and Kings College of London in the UK.  In 2010, Steven took his novel “Ain’t Dat Super!” to the stage and opened at the state-of-the-art Mahalia Jackson Theatre in New Orleans in front of close to 5,000 people making it the largest and most successful production in the history of Louisiana local theater.  He also premiered his film FORGOTTEN ON THE BAYOU to a national television audience on The Weather Channel and on Fox Television.  

Over the years, Steven has produced and directed many award-winning commercials and corporate films for national and local clients and has been recognized as a leader and educator in the Louisiana film and television industry.  He has been represented by agency giant, Creative Artists Agency out of Los Angeles in addition to boutique shops Ablaze Entertainment, and Rebel Entertainment.  One of Steven’s shows, FIRST DATE, was purchased by New Line Television and cleared over 85% of the United States in syndication.  Another show, TIMMY'S TRAVELS, was sponsored by Southwest Airlines and represented by Los Angeles children’s television icon Barbara Atlas, creator of the popular series, THE NEW ZOO REVIEW.  Steven has also written more than a dozen screenplays for film and television in addition to being a published author.  He is currently in development on the film "Unitas We Stand" based on the best-seller "Johnny U: The Life and Times of Johnny Unitas" as well as a music/television series called "Hit Me America".
